Introducing 4 Scholarships for international student in South Korea

Since I received the first three scholarship, I will talk a little more about the first three.
To apply any one of below, you are supposed to able to speak and write in Korean.

1. Lee&Won Asian Fellowship

Eligibility Criteria: Asian student enrolled in a Korean university (only Fresh, Sophomore and Junior).
Application period: Every year Dec – Feb (check the website or your email inbox)
Size: 20 students each year
Award amount: 2,000,000 KRW

Almost all selected students’ GPA is higher than 3.0

2. Daewoong Foreign Scholarship

대웅재단 해외 장학금

Eligibility Criteria: Internation student enrolled in a Korean university or a foreign university
Application period: Every year Mar and Oct (check the website)
Size: 100-200 students each year
Award amount: 2,000,000 KRW

One of TOPIC, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, etc. test scores

My comment:
Almost all selected students’ GPA is higher than 3.0
Differ from the 1st and 3rd one, there is no complicated activities. (may change in the future)
For students who major in non-engineering, they provide an great internship opportunity.

3. LeeYJ Korea China Future Leader Scholarship

이영주 한중 미래 리더 장학금 李映周韩中未来领导奖学金

Eligibility Criteria:

Chinese and Korean undergraduate student enrolled in a Korean university
GPA is higher than 85 (overall)
TOPIK 4 level

Application period: Every year Mar (check the website)
Size: 10 Chinese students and 10 Korean students each year
Award amount: 2,000,000 KRW

My comment:
这个可能相对来说申请难度低一些。
除了领奖学金，主要活动是跟韩国人一起写一篇论文。
是一个结交韩国朋友的好机会。

4. GKS (Global Korea Scholarship)

There are three scholarships for the international student.
a. apply from home country: Korean Government Scholarship Program
b. for Exchange Students: Korean Government Support Program for Foreign Exchange Students
c. apply after enrolled in a Korean university: Support Program for Self-financed Students
